How it Works

Ready to order your custom frames? Great, we can't wait to make them for you!

When you place your order, you'll need to attach two photos of your face so that we can determine your facial dimensions.

Frontal Face Photo

Why we need this photo: the two most important measurements needed to give you a comfortable fit are your pupillary distance (PD, the distance between your eye centres) and your head width.

Important: selfies won't work for this photo due to the distortion of the front-facing camera.

Example Picture

  1. If you're wearing glasses, it's better to take them off. If you have to keep them on, that's fine too.
  2. If you have long hair, tie them back so that your ears are visible.
  3. Stand about 5 feet (1.5 meters) in front of a mirror. That's about an arms-length and a half away from the mirror.
  4. Hold a standard-sized plastic card over your chin. Any card that's the same size as a credit card will do.
  5. Adjust your face so that it's directly facing the mirror. Both ears should be equally visible.
  6. With your other hand, hold your smartphone just below the card take a picture using the back camera. Look at the lens of the camera in the mirror when you take the photo.

Profile Face Photo

Why we need this photo: we use this photo to figure out where to bend the temple arm so that it fits snugly behind your ears. We also use this photo to look at the shape of your nose bridge.

You may use the front-facing camera for this photo.

Example Picture

  1. If you're wearing glasses, it's better to take them off. If you have to keep them on, that's fine too.
  2. If you have long hair, tie them back so that your ears are visible.
  3. Look straight ahead and raise your smartphone to the side of your face. Extend your arm so the smartphone is far from you face.
  4. Once again, use your other hand to hold a standard-sized plastic card so that it's directly facing the camera.
  5. Take a picture and check that your face and the card are aligned to the camera. Retake the picture, if necessary.
